Neighbourhood reduces burglaries – The Bourne Local
Neighbourhood reduces burglaries – The Bourne Local: “A SCHEME to cut down on crime in an area of Bourne has been a success and now other streets are being urged to do the same.
Following a series of burglaries during the winter months in Stephenson Way, Bourne, police community support officer Graeme Parrott encouraged residents to set up a neighbourhood watch scheme, which has reduced the burglaries ‘significantly’.”
The good folks in Bourne are using technology to beat the burglars. A neighbourhood watch scheme is using a Ringmaster e-mail system to keep residents up to speed on dubious goings on in the area.
You can find out more at the Bourne & District Neighbourhood Watch web site, but shade your eyes first, and turn down the sound if you’re in the office. The colour scheme is, very yellow. As well as advice on beating the burglars there is a video feature on Rogue Traders with a rather twee soundtrack.
Oh, and they have have used the Marquee tag on the home page. No-one uses the marquee tag in a web site.
