The cyber bad guys have taken control of 12 million new IP addresses in the first quarter of 2009. That’s 12 million compromised Windows PC’s that can be corralled into a worldwide botnet to send out spam.
Some of that junk mail will be punting the usual snake oil pills, and some will be offering up hyperlinks to infected websites waiting to push malware onto even more computers.
